Treasurer

Mrs. Adeola Osewa is a seasoned community leader, early childhood educator, and nonprofit administrator with over twenty-five years of experience in grassroots development, humanitarian service, and faith-based community engagement. She currently serves as Board Treasurer of the Institute for Peace and Leadership USA (IPL USA), where she provides financial oversight, governance support, and accountability to advance the organization’s mission in education, peacebuilding, and community-centered leadership.

In addition to her governance responsibilities, Mrs. Osewa leads IPL USA’s After-School Permaculture, Healthy Living, and Community Food Basket Program, overseeing initiatives that promote environmental stewardship, nutrition education, sustainable living practices, and food security for children and families. Through this program, she coordinates after-school learning activities, supports community-based food distribution, and helps ensure access to culturally appropriate and nutritious food for households experiencing economic hardship.

Mrs. Osewa has been actively engaged in community development for more than two decades, with a strong focus on organizing humanitarian assistance and supporting underserved populations locally and internationally. She has played a key leadership role as Treasurer of the Ogbomosho Sons and Daughters in North America (OSDNA), New York Chapter, where she coordinated donation drives, managed logistics for shipments, and supported the delivery of essential goods to communities in need in both New York City and Nigeria.

Her work has included collaboration with the City of New York and nonprofit partners to assess community needs and facilitate the distribution of humanitarian resources. Alongside her community and nonprofit leadership, Mrs. Osewa has demonstrated a long-standing commitment to faith-based education, serving as a Sunday School teacher for over twenty years. She previously taught at Christ the Rock International in Brooklyn and currently serves at Abundant Life Christian Center, where she continues to mentor children and youth through values-based instruction.

Mrs. Osewa holds a degree in Early Childhood Education from Borough of Manhattan Community College (CUNY) and pursued further studies in Liberal Arts at Brooklyn College. Drawing on her professional training and lived experience, she is also the Founder of Addy’s Daycare and Learning Center in Queens, New York, where she supports early childhood learning, family engagement, and holistic child development.

Through her combined roles in nonprofit governance, program leadership, early childhood education, and humanitarian service, Mrs. Adeola Osewa exemplifies community-centered leadership rooted in service, stewardship, and sustainable impact.
